"Nuestra Señora de la Esperanza", Center of Cancer, is a part of our Salud UC. It was created to assist patients with cancer under an integral assistance pattern.

It has become the only national Medical Center that offers Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT) which can be used in those locations where it is critical to surround the tumor with a high dosage, protecting the organs around it with major precision.

IMRT is considered the most important advance in radiotherapy in the last 40 years. There are only 150 medical centers which have this technology, about 100 are in the United States and 2 in Latin America, specifically in Brazil and Chile.
